Hi Folks,

Skaters Club this week has again been rescheduled from Feb 5th to Feb 12th (Sunday) 10:15am due to ice cancellations at SMU affecting team practices. Unfortunately this situation is beyond our control.

We do apologize for any inconvience this may cause however the development ice time was required to support a cancelled team practice.

All registrations will be held for the next session.

If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I am very sorry, however our Full Ice Tactics Session this week (Feb 5th) has been pushed to Feb 12th same time. Signup is open now however.

NEW GOALIES - U7 and U9 - Free Development Sessions

Hi Folks,

Upper Echelon has re-started their "Ambition Unlimited" program to support new U7 and U9 goalies. See the details below. If you have a little player looking to see if goalie is right for them....this is an excellent way to find out. Some of the goalies who started in this program are now playing in the QMJHL and International Pro teams. Even though this effort is sponsored by Cole Harbour Minor Hockey, it is open to all U7 or U9 goalies (potential or otherwise).

Lets get some future heros in the pipes!!!

See the details below:

Hi All!
Happy to announce in conjunction with CHBAMHA and the support of our wonderful mentor goalies and goalie coaches of the association that we are relaunching AMBITION UNLIMITED!
Ambition was a series of FREE goalie development sessions for U9/U7 goaltenders OR kids that would like to try goaltending that we put on at East Coast Varsity on a weekly basis.
In our first year, we had 85 different goalies go through the program at different times. Many of these kids are at the U13 age level and are still playing today. It was a huge success in actually addressing the issue of goalie enrollment in minor hockey.
With the help of CHBAMHA, we are going to start up again from February onto the end of March at CHP Scotia #1, every Saturday morning at 800am.
It is open to all associations, but there are only 12 open spots every week. If you belong to CHBAMHA, your child is already enrolled by default.
Couple of conditions for attendees:
(1) You need to register weekly. Registration is through CHBA website: https://forms.gle/4h95djVGz1j5Z22N6
(2) If you register, you need to show up. Only 12 spots are available. If you miss or skip your reservation, your name goes into the penalty box for two weeks (you can't register for the next two sessions).
(3) No experience necessary, but the kids will need full goalie gear (pads, gloves, chest protector and goalie stick at a minimum - goalie jock, goalie type neckguard, and knee-pads also highly encouraged). We will try to have someone assist the parents on how to put on goalie gear, if the need arises.
(4) Parents MUST stay during the entire session and ultimately be responsible for their child. Reasons for this is that sometimes a young child may find out half way through a session that goaltending is just not their bag. Parents need to be ready to help them off the ice and undress. Also, my on-ice discussions with the goaltenders will take place near the stands so parents can hear what is being discussed. These sessions are also to educate parents in the position.
If you are interested, please feel free to circulate amongst your membership or families that may be interested.
