Registration 2025-2026

   

Registration for the 2025-2026 Season Opens Monday July 14, 2025

 

General Info

Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Chebucto Minor Hockey reserves the right to close registration early if the number of registrations exceeds our programming capacity.  If a program has closed due to capacity concerns, please reach out to Alicia Payne (registrar@checuctominorhockey.com) to be added to the waitlist.

 

  • COMPETITIVE REGISTRATION OPENING DATE: July 14th, 2025
  • COMPETITIVE REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE: August 15, 2025

 

 

  • REC, U7, U9 and U24 REGISTRATION OPENING DATE: July 14th, 2025
  • REC, U7, U9 and U24 REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE: Sept 12, 2025

  

 

No player with an outstanding balance from the 2024-25 season will be able to register until that has been paid.

 

FEES for 2025-2026 Season

  • U7 - $700
  • U9 - $810
  • U11 and older - $900
  • U18 Rec  - $850

All registrations are reviewed and approved by the association registrar. If a registered player is determined to reside outside the CMHA boundary, the parent will be notified and registration cancelled/refunded. 

 

If you missed the registration deadline, please contact Alicia Payne, registrar@chebuctominorhockey.com to inquire about space. Some levels may be at capacity and cannot accept any more registration.  If space remains, a $50 late registration fee will be charged.

Registration Details

 

Competitive Tryouts (U11, U13, U15, U18)

All players who wish to tryout for a competitive team are required to pay a non-refundable $160 tryout fee, $210 for U13AAA.  This fee is built into the competitive registration fee.

 

 

Competitive Fee (U11, U13,U15, U18)

All players who make a competitive team are required to pay a competitive fee.  This is separate from the tryout fee.  Competitive fees cover the additional ice time that competitive teams receive, over the rec teams. 

 

Team Fees

 In addition to registrations fees most teams have team fees associated with the team budget.  These fees range in value and are higher for the most competitive teams (AA, AAA).  

  • These fees cover tournaments, team costs etc. 
  • The team fee budgets are developed by coaching staff and team managers and are shared with parents/guardians early in the season for review.  Team managers will collect these fees and keep parents/guardians informed on the use of these funds. 
  • This information is being shared to ensure that parents/guardians are aware of these additional costs. If you have any concerns about team budgets during the year, please do not hesitate to bring forward to your team manager or in confidentiality to a member of the Chebucto Executive.

Completing this registration will ensure that there is a spot for you with Chebucto should you be unsuccessful.  Failure to complete this registration may result in you being placed on a wait list.

 

If you are unsuccessful, you will complete the regular registration upon your return. 

 

Players requiring financial assistance.

If you are using programs such as Kidsport or Jumpstart please reach out to Alicia Payne, registrar@chebuctominorhockey.com prior to registering. If you are unfamiliar with these programs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. 

If you have a sponsor who will be funding any part of your registration please reach out to Alicia Payne, registrar@chebuctominorhockey.com prior to registering. 

 

50/50 Credits

50/50 credits have been applied to player accounts.  If you do not see your 50/50 there could be a couple of reasons; 

  • You are registering under a different username.   50/50 have been applied based on the registration details stored in our system.  Some players have multiple accounts.
  •  You are registering under a new username.   50/50 have been applied based on the registration details stored in our system.  If you create a new account, the credits are likely under the previously used account.

Payment Plans

Payment plans by credit card/VISA debit are available through GrayJay Pay. We will not process credit cards manually. You will have one option as follows;

 

· Initial payment of 25% at checkout

· Payment #2 - September 20th

· Payment #3 - October 20th

· Payment #4 - November 20th

 

NOTE – GrayJayPay (our online payment portal) does not automatically debit your card for payment. It is up to you to login and make a payment on your account. GrayJayPay will however send email reminders of upcoming payments and your current account balance. If you send an eTransfer, the registrar will then manually apply the payment to your account balance. 

 

NOTE –  If you are new to Hockey and registering through Hockey Canada. Installments will be debited on the automatically on the due date.

 

Family Discounts

CMHA is continuing its family discount program for membership. Our discount is as follows

  • 3rd+ child – 200$ off the lowest base registration fee

Families are to notify Alicia Payne, registrar@chebuctominorhockey.com to receive their discount refund or to apply the discount to a player registration.

 

Refund Policy

CMHA has a detailed refund policy (subject to change annually)

  • Processing fees are non-refundable for all registrations regardless of cancellation date.
  • Approved refunds for members withdrawing before the commencement of the season will be subject to an executive committee approved administration fee being deducted from the registration refund.
  • Approved refunds for members withdrawing after the commencement of the season but before the end of October will be subject to a 25% reduction in their registration fees, less the Hockey Canada insurance and any processing fees.
  • Approved refunds for members withdrawing after the commencement of the season but before the end of November will be subject to a 50% reduction in their registration fees, less the Hockey Canada insurance and any processing fees.
  • Approved refunds for members withdrawing after the commencement of the season but before the end of December will be subject to a 75% reduction in their registration fees, less the Hockey Canada insurance and any processing fees.
  • There will be no refund of Association fees to any member who participates in the program after December 31st of that hockey year, the only exception being for verified medical reason which will be handled on a case by case basis.

                                            

 

Transfers from another association

Transfers will still have to be moved to CMHA registrations database before you can fully register online. If you have moved to the area, begin the registration process online and you will be prompted to complete a transfer.  These transfers can take 3-5 business days to complete.
