Pre-Season Development Update!

Chebucto is very excited to annouce that we are going to be partnering with Athletic Intelligence as well as Upper Echelon Goaltending to assist in providing quality pre-season programming at the various age levels. 

This brings together two well known development organizations in the HRM area with proven track records and a staff of qualified and experienced coaches focused on development to augment our already existing list of high quality volunteers and in house coaches. This is truely a best of both worlds approach. Our hope is this will provide a model for increased strategic partnerships with private hockey groups for accessable, affordable and progressively high quality development facilitated through Chebucto. 

We expect that once we more broadly announce and publize that spots will fill up quickly and so please ensure you sign up. Chebucto development will be opening up empty slots to the greater HRM hockey community after Aug 4th if not filled so don't wait!  

A Note on Flexibility of Scheduling:

While Chebucto cannot make any guarantees on the exact schedule until registration closes on Aug 11th if there are any specific requests please reach out to the VP of Development and we will do our best to accomodate within reason.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO U18 PARENTS AND PLAYERS

Good evening,

With regards to evaluations for U18 competitive, due to U18 Major, U16AAA, and HS tryouts and dates as well as ice availability, we have not yet determined when tryouts will begin. The past two years they started immediately following the completion of U11, U13, and U15, so it is likely that things will follow the same timeline. When we have determined an actual start date, we will communicate it with membership.

U13AAA Tryouts Start Date - September 15th

U11-U15 Tryout Start Date - September 22nd (U15AA Tryouts are being pushed back a week because the U15 Major Tryouts are starting later this year)

Information for those players trying out for U15 Major, U16AAA, HS, and U18 Major

 Hi,

Just a quick note regarding registration for players who are planning on trying out for U15 Major, U16AAA, HS, or U18 Major.

 There are two options for these players:

 1. Register for Chebucto now. If a player is successful in making a team in one of these leagues without stepping on the ice for tryouts in Chebucto, they will be issued a full refund of all fees. If a player does step on the ice for tryouts in Chebucto, they will be charged the tryout fee, but all other registration fees will be refunded.

 2. Email myself, and our registrar, to inform us that you will be trying out for teams in one of these leagues, and if unsuccessful, will be returning to Chebucto to try out for our competitive teams. Your name will be placed on a list with all other players attempting this, and you can register at the time of your return.

 If you do not choose one of the two options above, you will be charged a $50 administrative fee when registering, or you may not be permitted to register, depending on the time of your return.

It has come to our attention that Gray Jay is not allowing payment plans for any player with a 50/50 credit on their account.  

Gray Jay is aware of the issue and confirmed it will be corrected by July 19, 2023.

We apologize for any inconvenience. 

Anyone impacted by this should wait until tomorrow to register!
