Congratulations U15AA for your Tournament Win Last Weekend!

To all Chebucto families,

With the season now in full swing, teams from Chebucto are participating in tournaments across Atlantic Canada. This past weekend, our U15AA team traveled to New Brunswick to compete in the Advanced Savings Credit Union Challenge Cup hosted by the Moncton Minor Hockey Association.

After an undefeated round robin which saw them finish 1st in their pool, they defeated the Gulf Storm from PEI in the semis to advance to the finals. In an exciting, back and forth game against Pictou County, our U15AA Atlantics tied things up late, and with 15 seconds left in OT, scored to bring home the championship banner.

Congratulations to head coach Alex Sawers, his assistants, and to all the players for their efforts.

U15AA Champs

A reminder to all competitive coaches to reach out if your team wins a tournament or makes the finals.

GO CHEBUCTO GO!!!

Development Signups - Keepers Club and Skaters Club

Hi Folks,

Our Skaters and Keepers clubs are off and running, both with very good starts.

We are particularily excited with the number of younger players participating and the encouragment demonstrated by the older kids.  The improvement at the sessions even within the first 2 weeks of skaters club has been remarkable.

Just a reminder that if any players have ever wanted to try jumping in the net, our 3-3:35 ambition unlimited goalie sessions are free of charge to any U7/U9 age goalie as well as anyone trying it out for the first time.

There will be one small augmentation  to skaters club going forward.

Every third week starting Dec 11 will be restricted in age to those U11 and above and will be specifically targeted to fast/advanced skaters. Any skaters who sign up should have relatively well developed skating technique and the ability to get up and down the ice at very good speed and pace. These will sessions be specifically denoted.

We will try to find more spots for additional skaters club sessions so keep watch.

We may open it up to younger ages (U9 and below)  if there are still spots available but we will not do so until the Friday prior. The regular sessions will continue as normal but are more focused on technical edgework where there is more of a balance and technical focus (appropriate for all ages and size of kids)  and less of an execution at pace with power focus.

If you have any questions, concerns or recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Go Chebucto
